The same customer that I detailed the 89 328 Ferrari for referred me to another customer. This customer has a 2005 Ferrari F430 he bought early this year BRAND NEW and currently has just over 4,100 miles on it. He pretty much “daily drives and has never had it detailed and it only gets I washed I believe through the dealer. Well I arrived at his house at 10:30 am thinking it was going to be relatively painless, I was wrong!!! (BTW, my first detail going mobile!) Anyways the paint had buffer swirls and holograms from the dealer prep, since the car is outside a lot, it was heavily contaminated! It hurt my eyes to see this BEAUTIFUL CAR in the shape that it was. Owner was very nice and left the day to work while I worked on his car.

Process:

Paint:

Wash- Zaino Wash

Clay- Sonus Clay with FK425 as lube.

Polished with Optimum Compound via Rotary @ 1500rpms with cut pad

Polished with Menzerna Final Polish II via Rotary @ 1200rpms with polish pad (some areas twice)

Pinnacle Souveran by hand x 2

FK425 Wipe-down at the end

Interior:

Vacuum, woolite/water mix on everything, leather treated with Zaino conditioner, dash/vinyl treated with 303.

Wheels:

Meg’s wheel brightener 50/50 with mf mitt and megs wheel brush for the inside wheels. Tires got Zaino Z16 and wheel wells got AA.

Total Process took 9 hours:

Here is some before pics of the paint:

After polishing pics: (I knew the sun would be down by the time I finished, I took these after the polishing but before any wax)

Wow! That car was in rough shape considering it only had ~4K miles on the clock. Although, it being a DD and only being washed by the dealer I guess that's to be expected.

A very good turnaround, but how come you didn't polish the exhaust tips?

Tomorrow Im going back to do some touch up on the Ferrari and a full detail on his wife's 06 BMW 760iL (in black  )

I took the pics knowing the sun was going down. I went back after the pics and polished the tips with Flitz and did the interior. :) I didnt want to take pics in the dark! :)

Lol only two but two more than I have ever done. Its nice to see to that owners of these beautiful cars take the time to seek out a "autopian" detailer to see that the car is back in showroom condition.

Amazing job. I looove the 430's.

It just surprises me that a company that does everything they can to provide such a great vehicle but they cheap out on a proper detailer at the dealer. It just doesn't make any sense. Those dealers need some Autopians there.

Oustanding job. I love the car and the background of the garden :) It bring out the color even more, I say ;)

That takes some confidence to go at a new Ferrari with a rotary, compound, and a cutting pad!

Well I tried FPII with a polishing pad at first, and that wasnt putting a dent in the buffer swirls. I tried OC with the polishing pad at first and that wasnt yielding the results I wanted, the only next step was OC and the cut pad which did the job. It did leave some "slight" holograms itself but FPII cleared them right up and left the finish perfect!

I also feel at home with the rotary and have been using it a for MANY details. I find the PC only useful for applying cleansers now. (IMO)

That is truly a work of art. A 430 makes me drool incessantly. To have money! I noticed a Bentley GT in the background as well. Looks like you have a gold mine of a customer.

The gentleman and his wife are VERY NICE! After he saw the Ferrari done, he told me it looked better than when he picked it up brand new and he didnt know it could even look like that!

Tomorrow morning im going back to detail their 760Li with 9k that's in even WORSE condition then the Ferrari was and on Friday the Bentley GT is getting a full detail and put in the garage and stored for the winter. All the cars pretty much sit outside 24/7 except the Ferrari (especially now that its back to showroom condition.) Like I said they are the nicest people in the world but just dont have the time and knowledge to upkeep their cars. After I told him how those swirls got in the ferrari, he said the only person to touch his car from now on is me. (I had the biggest SMILE on my face since I will be seeing more of the beautiful F430 in the future) Not to mention th other Beautiful cars they have.

Wow another Ferrari you lucky SOB. Great results once again :2thumbs: . I noticed you used OC as your compound not Menzerna's how come? I've heard FPII is really nice and I'm thinking of trying the Menzerna trio. I've been using the Optimum trio for a while and like it but again I've heard good things about Menzerna. Your thoughts?
