Detailed this black MB E320 today.....I did a complete detail last year to remove the swirls/scratches but the owner brought the car to automatic car wash again after I detailed it......

The black paint has no clear coat and it's pretty soft. Got rid most of the swirls with DACP followed with S100 SEC (both using PC)

Here are the pictures

The coca cola picture is reflection from a vending machine nearby.

Comments are very welcome :)

that's so sessy! I assume yellow pad with DACP?

you didn't feel like adding anything in between DACP and S100 like some kind of glaze?

Nice reflections. How about a bi-weekly maintanence plan to avoid the auto's? That would help elliminate the heavy marring.

What did you use for the DACP? PC, Rotary, Cyclo, Hand? You really did a good job. S100 is hard to beat for the price. Especially with results like that.

C'mon now, I thought it was ridiculous when all those import drivers put those huge HONDA or TYPE-R stickers on thier econo-cars...but a huge COCA-COLA sticker on the Quarter Panel of a Mercedes:shocked What was that guy thinking:nixweiss

;) J/k that looks awesome. Great comparision shots!

Thanks for the comments!!

I used DACP with yellow pad and followed with S100 SEC with yellow pad, then finally topped with S100 wax by hand.

sw20_og: I used S100 SEC with white pads before waxing. I thought SEC is some kind of mild polish/glaze....

teamvegas: I used PC.

aqua: Two passes on horizontal panels and one pass on vertical panel. I did not completely remove all the swirls/scratches but I managed to take out most of it.....The owner put tire shine himself. I think it's Meguiar's something but I'm not sure. He told me not to put tire shine since he wanted to do it himself....

fireberd350: It wasn't a sticker...It was a reflection from a nearby vending machine.
