Found a small stash of pre-voc 845

TUD

New member
today @ an Advance Auto approx 30 minutes outside the city. $11.48 each. There were only 2 left so I purchased both. I'm guessing it is fairly old as it showed the tale-tell signs. After much vigorous shaking it is good to go (I hope).

A couple of questions.

1. What works best underneath 845?

2. What have been the results for those that have used it on darker metallic colors?

3. Should I assume it is safe to use on a new auto (retarded question?) ?

TIA

Also works well over AIO and Jeff's Werkstatt's Prime (similar to AIO). Looks good on all colors and is safe for paints and gelcoats.

Thanks! :2thumbs:

BTW, anything seriously abrasive in it? I can feel something on my fingers and see it on my nail.

845 is supposed to be a pure LSP. I'd warm the bottle, shake it real good for a minute or so just to make sure it is completely mixed. What you are feeling may be just product that isn't completely mixed.

I've done exactly that. You have no idea how long or how much I have shook the two bottles. I have a feeling this IW is really old. I'd venture to say 5 plus years.

I posted in another thread that it appears the IW had eaten through the protective shipping seal.

Yikes! That's a lot of money for real old stock! I'm not sure if I'd prefer that over the new VOC compliant stuff.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll return it and just locate me some newer 845.
