Forum Feedback?

However, there is going to be a new section to replace that which will give more technical information as far as detailing is concerned.

There also seems to be a change in the enforcement methods of the site rules. There was some controversy over the announcement of new implementation of monetary fines. Some members even resigned because admin was so very adamant about their new policies and stood steadfast in their policies. Now, it seems these decisions have been reversed anyway.

It seems such a shame to to create the kind of controversy that makes some members leave a site. Especially since the administrator was obviously undecided and had not really commited to implementing the new rules that he announced, afterall.

Ironic.

That's not exactly a replacement. We have lots of forums for discussing detailing, but what about issues that involve the community that aren't exactly detailing related?

In the house rules, David says:

Where we're going is anyone's guess. What are your ideas? What would you like to see from Autopia?

What is the appropriate forum to discuss that? Seems like that happened in the Forum Feedback forum. Like the "Meet the Members" forum was originally brought up there. Where would someone post a suggestion like that? I do not think that a single email to a moderator would have brought that forum to life.

If we are a large community with small town values, where are we supposed to discuss issues that effect the town? The room in the town hall for town meetings, if you will. Would the recently changed rules have gotten changed without the feedback forum?

And what about the chat thread? Can a new one be made somewhere so that it can be bumped during chat time to remind people?

That's all I care about. :)

Forum Feedback was largely a bull pen anyway. I don't know why people are mourning this decision. :nixweiss
