GF's car. Hadn't been touched for over 2 months :hide: but in my defence I have been a bit busy!

Anyway, process as follows.

- shampoo with Pro Finish

- clay with Erazer & Sonus grey*

- wheels with Meguiars Wheel Brightener

- SSR2.5 to bonnet, roof & offside via PC/DAS orange

- OPT to nearside & tailgate via PC/DAS orange

- SRP via PC/DAS blue

- Tyres Z16

- all trim B&B

- glass Meguiars Pro Cleaner

* neither clay liked the Pro Finish shampoo as lube - the Sonus in particular crumbled after less than 5 minutes

Looking good as always Andy, but I notice you didn't have a crack with the rotary?

Also interesting to see you using SRP again, as I have recently started doing the same - the black M5 I did back in June is in the garage whilst it's owner is on holiday. It's currently had SRPx2 and EGPx2, and will be getting another coat of EGP every day until he comes back next Thursday!

Cheers Ben.

I really wanted to see whether the PC could hit the swirling on the paint TBH and with the orange pad a) it did and b) left a surface ready for sealing - all in less than 2.5 hours so happy days.

There's a few swirls left but barely noticeable (to most people) which I'm sure the Makita would kill in next to no time. I should add that GF isn't "exactly" very Autopian about her car so I wanted it simply to look reasonable as opposed to a shed!

As for SRP - revelation mate! Used on a finishing pad I rate it big time - easy to apply and then wipe straight off. Can't wait to see the M5 with umpteen coats of SG - bling bling bling!

looks nice and wet, not a fan or SRP as many know but it does look good on your g/fs KA. Nice flake too popping through.

You gonna layer or top the SRP, how long do you think the protection lasts?

SRP is autoglym super resin polish, like JJ I never liked it until I usedit recently by PC and Now Its a credible substitute to AIO but with the following advantages, very easy to wipe off residue and a very light cut to it.

BTW Andy it looks great! Better than great! How are you finding the erazer clay? I know what you mean about sonus clay crumbling lol!

Loooks like you got in just before me ben! :lol

You guys are all coming round back to using SRP again!

Talking of Autoglym I got there Bug remover and one off the new red MF'S today, have tried neither as yet tho. Spent all after noon on the Clio.

I still much prefer it on Sonus Green for a little bit of bite. It works so well with the PC.

Nearly used it again on mine today but went VM, RMG and UPP to see if I like it, thread in a mo.

Ka looks great Andy. Top work as ever.

I noticed some off the car with SSR 2.5 and some with the Optimum, how do they compare?
