Ford Fabric questions

I hope you guys know what I am taling about and have found a solution. I typically don't work on fords, especially ones that have this newer fabric that seems to stain from everything. Although I havent tried to tackle this myself, I would like to see what those of you have done who have had this issue. This newer fabric that ford has in its SUV's and I am assuming they offer it in cars too is almost a canvas feel to it and I have had someone ask me at an appt what is best for cleaning it, bc she has tried a lot and she claimed that even water has stained it. This is noit the first person to ask me about this and I personally have worked on one explorer that had this fabric... Thanks for any input:hifive:

Both my 03 Ranger and 07 Mustang have cloth seats and yes they show water stains. Both however have inserts that don't. So the bolsters, sides and front cleaned up really well using the LGCM and clear water for me. I'd like to hear other suggestions as well.

A lot of other vehicles have similar fabric, such as Caravans. And yes they are a pain to clean and keep clean. The first thing i would recommend is to keep the seating area always vacuumed, as this might help will water stains and such.

I find that if a stain is in one area of the seat the whole area has to shampooed. Sometimes you can get a way with a wet MF and APC. And sometimes after the seat is dry the stains come back, usually they can be reduced with the wet MF.

Yes this new fabric is a PITA.

I own a Ford, and have owned 3 2002 or newer Fords...1 with leather, 2 with cloth and haven't noticed that problem.

I always use APC+ and have awesome results on Fords (mine and clients).
