****Warning, this is not an Autopia level detail so proceed at your own risk**** :D

As I said in my intro post, my regular gig is a service tech for Frontier Communications. This week I transfered to a different work area and in that process was lucky enough to get out of a cargo van and into a 2 year old bucket truck. In those previous two years I don't think it was ever washed, and well.....we just can't have that (my wife thought I was half goofy lol).

A vast majority of my coworkers don't take much care of their work vehicles, but it's rare to get a truck like this, and even more rare to get one replaced with a new one, so I figure I'd better take some care of it.

Here's what I started out with. Two years worth of dirt, grease, and grime:

Time to go to work. Everything was sprayed down with Opti-Clean before being washed (2bm) with Chemical Guys Wash n Gloss. I ran out of day light last night, but was able to follow up with a quick coating of Pinnacle Black Label Paint coating today as well as UTTG on the black pieces. I'd say this beast is looking a little better today:

Well, that's it. It wasn't some impressive correction detail on a Lambo, but it's a vehicle that's a little out of the ordinary so I thought I'd share.

That turned out great. I've detailed more commercial vehicles in my life than normal cars, and know exactly how much work that actually is. That truck is in really good shape too. Usually in 2 years, they are already beat to hell and back. Again, nice work :)

i used to have a fleet acct. that would bring in trucks for service and we had to remove all the garbage in cab of truck just to drive trucks into shop for repairs

The cab of this truck was full of garbage too. I get its just a work truck, but I just don't get how people can spend their day working out of a vehicle like that
