without having to drive everywhere and find out that it won't fit in certain 5 gallon buckets, harbor freight has one that will.

i brought a grit guard in just to make sure and it fits with plenty room to spare. figure i would post to save the hassle...

Al, the problem is when it's loose at the bottom the grit guard will float.

The home depot buckets fit perfectly. They are a little bit smaller than 5gal.

For those that live in the midwest , the buckets from Menards work great. Just snug enough to keep the grit guard from floating.
