For the windows

What are you guys and gals using for the exterior windows. Up to know I have been using Rain x for the windshield and AIO for the rest of the windows. I heard that many are using VM. How is that working out. I just ran out of rain x and thought I would try something else
 
I just rediscoverd how well AIO works on all windows including windshields. I've moved my Rain-X to the back of the shelf.



Aquapel will outlast Rain-X hands down, but the key to getting long life and good results with it is good windshield prep work.
 
I like Rain X the best. I use AIO on the other windows. VM works about as well as AIO. Like chml17l said, windshield prep is key. I usually use AIO, then alcohol, then Rain X. Seems to last a while that way.
 
AIO on my windshield, lasts longer than rainX, and cleans it up too.



After that, i maintain it with either Z8 or DP's spray sealant.
 
I guess I will stick with AIO. I noticed alot of people were using VM on the windows so I was wandering what kind of results they got.
 
I've used VM on windows before. It looks really good after you apply it, but the durability isn't there. A couple washes and no more beading.



It's only Aquapel for me now! 1 year, 3 months and still beading like crazy!! I love it!

I really like VM. Cleans the heck out of my windows. I gave up on Rain-X years ago...I didn't like how much effort was needed to remove the product.
 
For me, Aquapel on the windshield and AIO on the sides works best. I have tried everything from Rain-X to Zaino to S100. This seems to work out best.



I keep my wipers up with 303's Wiper Restorers or Poorboy's Trim Restorer.
 
Prep work - clay (either block or diamondite foam clay),

Then depending on condition of car, I'll use one or two of the following



Sonus Glass & Chrome polish

P21s polishing soap

Autoglym glass polish

PB SSR 2 - 1

Menzerna (any of them)

Klasse AIO

Vanilla moose, CMW

Clearkote QS

Detailers Pride Glass restorer



Sometimes I will machine buff front & rear glass with rotary



To protect



Klasse SG

FMJ, UPP, PB wheel sealant, Wolfgang DGPS,

DP spray sealant, collinite marque de elegance
