I spend way too much time and money in there :o

The only Sundance product I have used from there is the car wash and its low end .. but usaeble if you get it on sale .. but $15 a bottle .. not a good deal .. I zip down to washington state and buy car wash soap there ..

As far as Cambodian Tire goes .. good selection but no bargin.

I'd agree with Stevet on the products he's listed. I wouldn't touch too much in the Simoniz or Sundance lines, they are pretty low end. If you can make a run for the border, once you got to Pepboys, Autozone, Advance Auto and Carquest and see the selection and prices you'll go holy s**t!

Otherwise order online from some of the online retailers. We do have some good folks here to deal with too.

Are the microtex microfiber any good?? I was looking to get a pack for buffing the car with.

I see walmart has the xootix line and the auto shine line of stuff, is that any good? I usually use simoniz terry towels, applicators, lint free polishing cloths and interior detailing cloths. I have some sundance foam applictors, and a lambswool wash mitt and i also have black magic foam applictors but mostly all simoniz. They seem to work well for me, i know their cheap though. I was looking at a nice simoniz wash mitt, i think i might pick it up.

Do we have a discount number for eshine.ca? I am lookin to roder some stuff, i am freaking hooked lol :D

I am lookin at some microfiber's there, the mega plush and super plush or something, which is better?

I am looking to get a nice one like that, i just ordered some towles from eshine, thanks to chris for all the help :up I always wondered what walmart's line is like...

I bought one of those mitts a couple of weeks ago. Nice product.

I really like the Simoniz Midnight Tire Gel. Doesn't sling, is durable and looks great.

Plexus

I've never been able to find Plexus in a Canadian Tire store yet. I even had an employee try to look it up on their computer last year and they couldn't find it. Its definately not kept in the detailing aisle.

Is it somewhere else in the store?

Some Canadian Tires carry it in the detailing aisle and some in the aisle for motorcycle products.

Interesting they couldn't find it on the computer, it's in their catalogue thats for sure. Check out the bottom of page 290 in the 2005 annual catalogue :D

Yep, the Plexus was tough for me to find too. I ended up finding it by the snowmobile accessories. (Staff never heard of the stuff either.)

The Simoniz brand in Cdn.Tire is the store brand line (Re-labeled). Some are not bad, some are not quite that good. But then, that's my opinion. Some people looooove the look of some products that I can't even see a diiference from after applying.

I noticed that CT carries a "gift pack" for each of Megs, Mothers, TW, and Simoniz. Between $25 and $35.

As to the MF's there, the 5 pack aren't terrible, but you should def. notice a difference between those and ones from Chris.

Also, CT used to have sales on the detailing stuff. Last couple years, only the Simoniz has been on sale. :(

One thing I did notice was that Mothers PolishBall was only $29.99, which is pretty close to the US MSRP. (No, haven't bought one, but was impressed at the similar price, especially considering that stuff like Gold Class is twice the US price!!)

Yes the Plexus is all over depending on the store.

The Simonz Sheepskin Wash Mitts are as good as any I have used. Like any sheep skin mitt the quality varies from mitt to mitt so like Bill D says "pick them like fruit".

Thats not true, I saw some meguiar's stuff on sale a couple of week ago.

The thing I dont understand is why you all get your stuff at CT, they are soooo expensive. NXT is $10 cheaper at eshine and since you dont pay the provincial taxe, it pay back the shipping. and that's just one example. You're also able to get some better stuff from those site.

Look at the list of products I listed in my first post. eshine has maybe 2% of those products. Also if you want to get the product quickly you can just walk in and purchase it. Some of Canadian Tire's prices are expensive, NXT is one example, but some of their prices are pretty good. The Mothers Power Ball is one example. Bottom line is I purchase from all over the place and CT is just one source.

I guess I paid too much for my NXT wax which I found at CT.

I forget how much it was but prolly close to ex-p at ESHINE.

NXT was impressive BTW.

I'll be ordering MEGS #21 soon from the local UAP autopro store as it will be expensive but more economical than NXT from CT.

Were those products actually "On Sale" or just listed in the flyer? I haven't seen anything other than Simoniz discounted. Maybe I just missed some. :nixweiss
