am new to this site but have been coming here for quite awhile for research and product information. i know i should have posted in the intro. section but since i had a question i figured this would be the right place. after finding the great use of ONR from this site. i decided to try some out, and i love it. i keep my cars pretty clean so the onr and two bucket method works well for me since i dont need to break out the hose. my question is, what do you guys a use on the tires to clean them? i would like to be able to do the entire car without having to bring the hose out for just the tires. i currently use meguiars hot shine tire gel on my tires if that matters. thanks for any input

I dunno...I can never get the results I'm after on tires with (just) ONR, at least not when they're really dirty. Simply no comparison to real rubber cleaners used the conventional way (with plenty of dwell time).

I've done OK using ONR to rinse off Griot's Rubber Cleaner though. I got the distinct impression that it didn't rinse it off quite as well as a real blast with the hose, but it did work OK.

unless I've already applied Tuf Shine, I don't use ONR for the tires to clean them. I still use a tire cleaner, then you could rinse that off with ONR.

Seperate bucket and mit of course.

Same here. My tires need a good strong chemical followed by strong agitation to really get clean.

Hmmm.. Griot's Rubber Cleaner... good stuff, Accumulator? I have yet to find a tire *cleaner* (not dressing. I love Z16) that I'm happy with.

I like it, but it's rather mild/gentle. Eh...at least give it a try.

But for *really* cleaning rubber, their little bottles of Rubber Prep are simply amazing (and I'm not all that easily amazed ;) ). You really gotta try that stuff, if only for those rare situations where something is really giving you fits.
