Tried Folex in gray carpet of my truck. Had a purple juice stain that had been there for a while. No luck with it. I thought this stuff was supposed to be some good stuff? Any comments?

Nothing gets out everything. Grape juice is pretty nasty stuff.

Did it improve? I'm guessing you tried several times.

I'd try a few different things as well. Something else might work better.

You might try peroxide to bleach the stain a bit

If the stain has been there awhile and not clean when first spilt..it may have set in the fabric and folex will not remove it...best bet is to PM grouse here on the forum..he is a carpet specialist..a professional rug Technician..some times a stain like that may not come out if it set to long..also you may need to use a hot water extractor with some Pro chemicals...

Purple and red are almost permanent. I think it was Anthony Orosco that removed the red stain from carpeting and a search should turn it up. It was a lengthy process though.

1Bad, try multiple applications. If there was a lot of juice spilled, it might take a while. We had a spill in our living room that we suspect was soda. It was at least a couple years old, and when I got Folex a few months ago I tried it. It actually made the spot worse, and larger after a couple tries. What I realized, is that the Folex was just drawing up all the soda in the carpet, and the reason it was growing was because I was working outward and spreading it. Each time I soaked it up with the paper towel it turned brown, so I knew it was working. Finally after about 8 tries the spot was just about gone.

I had a lot of trouble with getting glass clean, this led me to a company called "Stoner" who has the best glass cleaner in the world in my opinion.

However I was so impressed I ordered a sampler of there products and so far have found the following, They have a product called "Natural Citrus XENIT Cleaner and remover", Long stupid name I know! However I had some shirts that had butter/oil stains in them that I couldn't get out with anything. I told the guys on this forum about a product that worked, but since then I have found that the only reliable thing that works is the above concoction "Natural Citrus". I sprayed it on, waited 15 minutes, washed the shirt as usual in the W machine and the stains were completely gone. This is after several normal washings so the stains were definitely set.

I'm having a really bad day so you can believe it or not, or try it or not I just don't care.

Changeling

PS. After doing all the above and washing, the shirts had a strong chemical smell (strong), but it all went away by the next day.

Yeah I tried a few times and didn't seem to even improve. It isn't a huge spot, about size of a penny with even smaller ones next to it. It was grape Bug Juice (some sort of kids juice) i believe. Seems like it is dyed in the fabric.
