Foam Guns

I use the ones from Gilmour, which are sold under a variety of brand names. I prefer the smaller one since I'm using it so close to the paint; I'd be bumping the vehicle with a larger bottle.

Will the one quart one do a full sized car with no problems? Most of my cars are smaller anyway, usually vettes or 335i.

Yes, I usually only make a half or a quarter of the quart sized depending how dirty my car is on the middle setting. I don't like having any leftover since I rinse the gun out with water everytime after use.

Depends how you use the foamgun. Used the way *I* do it, you'll need to refill it quite often. But I bet the way others use it is so different that there's no correlation.

the gilmour I got my eye on is 60 bux but apparently sometimes it doesn't come with the tips? sigh... I'm thinking i should really pull the trigger on it soon though

the Chemical Guys one is $60, comes with tips, and also comes with 3 bottles of soap

Would somebody please school me on the "tips" that being discussed?

What ratio of soap to water do most people use?

I mix up a gallon concentrate at 6 oz. shampoo/remainder water and fill the gun from that. Then I usually use the more concentrated settings at the gun.

Note that the above is quite a bit stronger than the mix/settings I used to use.
