Well test number 2 on the MDRX8 rotary rocket. Background, I never drive it in the rain. It is a 2005 model Red. Has not been hand washed but 3 times.

Conducted a test to use ONR or DP 4 in 1 Rinseless wash with a foam gun. First wet the car down reaaal good. Use a regular car wash. Wash car down with foam gun with NO towel. Then poor wash back into it's container. Next Rinse soap off with was gun reaaal good. Then apply DP 4 in 1 Wash to car in a pretty heavy concentration at a fast pace. Turn off sprayer. Wipe dry with 2 Microfiber towels that absorb water well. I use Mothers detailing MF. As you dry, wring out towel. WORKS VERY WELL and cuts washing time at least in half the time. Remember my car does not get driven in the rain. If I see anything but dust on the car, it gets a full wash...... Seperate towels for tires! What do you guys think dumb idea Or.......I can take the heat, love feedback!

Ok I'm no english teacher but I will give it another try.

I did a test on my red 2005 RX8. I never drive the car in the rain or if the roads are wet. I have used the quick and easy car wash system with optimum no rinse or Detailers pride waterless wash. Since buying the car I have only did a regular (with soap and a mit) car wash 3 times.

Still with me?

My test was to use Optimum no rinse or Dp Waterlees wash in a foam gun.....This is how I did it. First I rinsed the car off real well to remove dust and surface contamiates. Then I used a regular car wash soap in the foam gun. I sprayed the entire car down with a nice foam. Then I rinsed it well with plain water. Then I put DP Four in one waterless was in the foam gun. I sprayed the 4 in one over the entire car in a good but quick spray. So now we have DP 4 in 1 left on the car right? I then wiped the 4 in1 down with 2 Microfiber towels. The towels I chose were Mother's Detail Towels...They absorb water very well. As they became saturated with water & 4 in 1 I would wring them out to get the excees water out of the towels. I removed all the water and 4 in 1 off the car to dry. the car.

This worked very well. Cut the time for a normal hand wash to the waterless by at least half the time.

Remeber my car is only dusty. If I see clay, sand or soil in any quanity I hand wash with regular cas wash soap. Always use a diffent towels. one set for the car. And another set of towels for the wheels/rims.

Hope this makes things clearer.

I don't really think it's necessary to perform a normal soap foam gun process. Once you spray the surface of the dirt particles and such (you don't even have to do that), you can just use the DP 4in1, which provides the necessary lubricants to prevent any marring.

Thanks for explaining it again. I can completely understand what you're trying to do now.

I think your main reason for this is to to touch as little paint as possible? If the process works for you and saves you time, then that's great. For me, I think it's just a bit more involved than I would like and would take me more time to complete compared to just doing either a rinseless wash, or a conventional wash. I don't have a foamgun so maybe that is a big time saver? On the otherhand, I do have a pressure washer and as much as I currently prefer doing conventional washes with that, I can do a rinseless wash in as little as half the time as a conventional wash.
