Glad I found this site as It has provided great information and threads full of pics, videos, product details etc. I recently shot a few videos with my Foam Cannon Gun thingy.

I only have a Electric Karcher Pressure washer that is rated at 1750 PSI. So I was anxious to get a Foam Cannon on it and see if it will produce that marvelous shaving cream flow I have seen on other vehicles.

Still testing the solutions and have many more car wash soaps I haven't opened yet.

thanks to mcnab , SuperBee364 , JJ_ , and others who took the time to post details and pics with their experiences! :xyxthumbs

Great videos. I was wondering what foam cannon you have to use with your Karcher Electric power washer. I have been looking for one but the only one I can find for the Karcher is the one sold over in the UK. The cost with shipping to the US would be more than the PW.

I did pick up a foam attachment made by Karcher. I still need to test it out.

Ditto. I was going to purchase the same foam cannon online from the UK. I was researching and found my way to autopia.org and saw the alternative from Cam Spray. It was a expensive for what it actually is made of and literally when it arrived I thought I would return it. Because I have a Karcher (bayonet fitting) I had to purchase a new hose and also a new gun. Yep, more money! But I was determined to try the foamer. So here is the total for the Karcher Electric Pressure washer:

1.) Cam Spray Foamer - 80.00 (online)

2.) New Gun 3000psi universal - $39.98 (lowes)

3.) New Hose 25' - $16.97 (lowes)

4.) Tons of car soap! (at least 10 different soaps - duragloss, chemicalbuys, meguiars, etc.)

It would've of been easier to just have the Karcher adapter that AutobriteUK sells but I just couldn't find it within the US. With this adapter you would avoid the new GUN/Hose purchase. Or purchasing a non-karcher pressure washer with the Bayonet Fitting.

Update with the information that members PM about.

You DO NOT need to purchase a new gun and new hose if you have Bayonet style fittings on your PWasher like my Karcher. As I posted further into this thread all the information is included but I want to place it higher in the top of the thread.

Equipment and links:

Karcher K 3.98 M 1750 PSI = $160? been awhile

Cam Spray Foam Cannon = $80

Cam Spray 527100 - Foamer Attachment

If your pressure washer uses the bayonet type fittings then you only need to purchase these (2) adapters.

Karcher adapter A = $4.90

PressureParts.com Offers ::Karcher Adapter A

Coupler, Twist 22mm x 22mm = $6.50

I also purchased a normal 32oz spray bottle and a longer pick up tube for around $3.

Hope this helps!

Great post! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I've been really wanting one since superbee's post. I think I will end up getting a gas pressure wash so I can use it around the house too. Washing siding, patio, driveway, etc. (sounds like a good excuse right?!?!)

I'll probably wait till spring to get in now since the snow is just around the corner.

So maxpsi if i order that karcher attachment i could then get the cam spray foamer and it would connect to my electric karcher

So correct me if im wrong. I need to order the foam cannon, a new hose and a universal gun and i am all set. What about getting a larger bottle for the foam. What did you use?

Yesterday I tried 2oz of DG 901 and 30oz of water with my lance and 2100 psi PW. I had the setting on half. Usually when I use this amount with Z7 or CGCW I have allot of foam. I'll have to try it again.

This is 2oz of DG 910 and 30oz of water, approx 3 mins after application.

Yes, although getting a new Gun and Hose may NOT be necessary.

If you have a Karcher that uses the Bayonet attachments then you can purchase a new gone/hose as I did($$). Or try the [Karcher Adapter A] above.

The larger spray bottles are available everywhere. I have tons around the house and can be picked up at Walgreens , Lowes, HDepot etc for under $2. I followed the advice of others and got a new pickup tube from my local ACE hardware. The hardware stores should have plenty of sizes available on big rolls and charge by the foot. I paid $.49ft and got a 2ft length and had enough for extra.

I just recently came across this Karcher Adapter A.

It seems to have a threaded male end(size?) My foamer came with a metric male end so it would seem that the Karcher Adapter A and one other adapter would work great. It would save the time and money of replacing my perfectly good Karcher Bayonet hose/gun attachments I was using.

I should have mentioned that I had my Foam Cannon pick-up on FULL for all the tests. I was trying to get as much foam as possible. I Haven't really tried to decrease the settings yet. I was having too much fun seeing all the foam lol. I also didn't have the chance to try all my other car soap products but I'll get to those on the next wash. Mostly all OTC stuff but will post results after next use.

More foam tests are always good/fun.

Here is 2-3oz of Z7 on the high setting. I used 2/3 of the 32 bottle for this:

Half setting with the same above mix, used 1/2 of the 32oz bottle:

IMO if you use 3oz total of any or a mix of a few soaps you should be able to get excellent foam with the lance set on about 1/2 or medium.

I have almost the exact same setup. I have the Cam Spray (bottle replaced with 32 oz. bottle), the same gun from Lowe's, and a replacement hose. The only difference is I have mine hooked up to a 1750 psi Husky pressure washer.

I'm very happy with this setup. :getdown 2-3 ounces of soap in the bottle mixed with water makes THICK foam when set on the max setting.

I don't think so. The Karcher adapter has a male threaded end and so does the cam sprayer. You would need something like this on the end of the wand.

:werd:

You would need a third piece that has two female ends to couple the Karcher adapter and the cam spray. There must be something like that out there.

Yes, I agree it would need an adapter. I just located the part and suggested it would need another adapter. I'd call them up to see what size the male end of the Adapter A is and then pick up something like these Hex Couplings. There has to be an easy way to attach this to the Karcher adapter A.

Hex Couplings - Brass

It'll be good for those to save the money and eliminate the purchasing of a new gun/hose for the Karcher bayonet pressure washers.

Nevermind, Screw getting a pressure washer and then $409358 more in parts to just run a foam cannon. I'll stick with a foam gun.:woot:

It's not that expensive.

-Cam Spray $80

-Karcher Adapter $12 (I think)

-Brass coupler $2

$14 to couple the Cam Spray to your Karcher IMO is very reasonable.
