Foam Applicators

Just got some new foam applicators recently and it started me thinking. Everyone washes their new MF towels before using them, does anyone wash their foam applicators before using? Probably not a bad idea. I usually just use them fresh from the package.

If Im not going to use the exact same thing with it I will wash it out and let it dry then store it in a sealed plastic bag. If I intend to use the same applicator with the same product exclusively I will make sure it doesnt get dirty and store it directly in a sealed plastic bag.

I don't wash them before or after..I just toss them when I'm done.
 
I washed a few with my microfibers one time and they absorbed the dirt from the MF. Never again. :wall I will wash individually if I need one for the same product soon. Otherwise I am likely to toss them. They are cheap.
 
I wash mine out with Dawn after I use them, then they go in with my MF towels and get machine washed. Although they seem to be clean after machine washing they never do return to that bright yellow state, it's more of a greenish yellow color. I've tried presoaking in the same stuff I clean my PC pads with but it doesn't seem to help much. I might try machine washing some before use just to see how it works.

Good idea to put an applicator that's going to be reused with the same product in a sealed bag whether it's washed or not.

While they are relatively inexpensive it seems kinda wasteful to toss them after use. Like worn MF towels they could be delegated for grunge duty. Depends on how many a person uses I guess.
 
I wash mine out in bulk. I get a bunch together...Spray with APC and then let them air dry. I never wash mine before using them.
