Foam applicator care?

AFter using your foam pad applicator, how do you guys take care of it after using it for waxing?



I just applied Paste Glaz on my car and (I think I made a mistake) after I was done, I washed my foam pad with DAWN to get rid of any wax stuff left inside it fearing it might cake when I use it tomorrow. Did I do the wrong thing?

I rub some Dawn in by hand and rinse it out a bit, then let it soak in some Dawn and hot water for about an hour, wring all the soap out and let air dry.

I do the same. I let mine sit for a while then take aem out and rinse over and over until no dawn is left.
