FMJ 16oz Instructions

Can someone who has bought the 16oz FMJ please type up the instructions on the back of the bottle. I bought the 32oz FMJ and the only instuctions that it gives is for use by hand. It is my understanding that the 16oz bottle gives better instructions and specifically mentions directions for using FMJ with a PC.

The directions on the 32oz are:

Shake well before using. May be applied by hand or orbital polisher. Apply to cool surface, out of direct sunlight. Work on one section at a time (i.e. 1/2 hood, door, etc.). Apply small nickel size amount of product on a dry Microfinger or Microfiber applicator Pad. Wipe on with small circular motions and allow haze to dry. Buff of residue with a clean Microfiber cloth.

Continue working around vehicle wiping on small amounts of product and buffing off residues. If applicator becomes dirty, switch to a clean, dry applicator.

Are the instructions on the 16oz any different? Thanks!

The instructions you have seem to cover it pretty well. Just don't use too much, make sure there is no water or dirt on the surface, and work one panel at a time and you should be fine. I personally haven't used it but from what I understand that's about all you need to know. Remember that PC application is faster so you might have to let it haze.

tubafeak, Thanks for the help, but I guess what I am really getting at is that on my 16oz bottles of IP and FPII there are specific directions for using those products with a PC. I believe that on the 16oz FMJ bottle there is the same thing. I am more interested in finding out what Menzerna recommends more than anything and how the directions differ from the 16oz to the 32oz bottles. This is not absolutely necessary, but it would be nice to know.
 
6speedZ - I have a 16 ounce bottle of FMJ in my hand. The instructions you posted for your 32 ounce bottle are exactly the same as the instructions on my label.
 
awd330, Thanks! That is exactly what I wanted to know. I know on the properautocare site they specifically say that there are no instructions included on the 32oz size, but I guess mine came with them anyways. On another site I was told that the 16oz FMJ had directions for PC use on the back, including how to apply the product on the pad and what speeds to use, but I could never get anyone to confirm this until now. Thanks again for your help!

6speedZ - I did a little digging around in my supplies, and I found a paper brochure printed by CMA. It's titled "Menzerna Application Guide", and it does have instructions for machine use (text / photo captions below):

Applying FMJ by Machine (Porter Cable 7424 polisher)

Work on areas of 4 to 6 sq. ft. (1/2 of the hood), out of direct sunlight.

Place a dry foam finishing pad or Microfinger Pad on your machine.

Apply an "X" of product on the pad.

Set the Porter Cable's speed dial between 3-1/2 and 4. Place the pad against the paint and turn the machine on.

Apply in broad overlapping motions.

Work FMJ over the surface until it starts to dry.

Wipe off residues with a dry Microfiber cloth.

Wash pads with soapy water.

Rinse and allow pads to air dry.
