Flex with Wool Pads

Anyone tried any wool pads with a Flex yet????

Dont know if its compatible or not.

I think there was a fella on AGO that has tried this combo. Thinking about trying it out myself just for grins.

Yeah me too. I used a CCS pad with it monday. Hopping like a George Clinton and the Parliment Funkadelics song. I switched to a 5.5in flat lc pad.

There's definitely been mixed reviews with the CCS pads and the Flex. I tried an orang pad a couple of months ago and experienced similar issues, not too mention the micro-marring it induced. I know others have had no issues at all.

I tried using the foam wool pads on the Flex and found it would only finish "ok" at the highest settings. Tested it on a car with scratches and thought it would be a good test. It did a pretty good job and removed the scratches, but did leave some marring. It also left some swirls when used at low speeds. I switched over to a white CCS pad and it finished nicely.



So, can you use wool pads on the Flex, yes. But I would still reach for the rotary for faster correction.
