Flex Stopped Working - Not Backing Plate Related

So my Flex officially ceased working today. I was buffing a panel, and when I finished I released the handle but it kept spinning (an issue I've had lately). When I went to go use it again, nothing. I assume this is switch related, and hope someone else has experienced this...

very true .. so you still think its a good machine ?

Hehe, I melted 4 backing plates and split my PC into 2 pieces. I still think its worth the money spent on it. You just get a couple bad times I guess. Can't let a couple isolated incidents put you down on a quality product :2thumbs:

well i just picked mine up today and had the time to do my whole car .. awesome machine .. first polisher used .. but a great one =)

Seems like we go through periods when one machine or another is having issues. I remember when Cyclos were having them, mostly power-cord related.

This is one of the reasons why I have (at least) two of most things I depend on (not just detailing equipment).

OCKlasse- Hope you get things sorted out quickly. I'd contact the vendor first and with any luck everything will work out. I hope you/we find out just went wrong.

A little update:

I tried calling Power House today, but did not get through to some one. I will try again tomorrow.

I plugged it into the wall again today, and it spun a little when I would push and release the handle. I then began to smell a very strong burnt smell and unplugged it...something's definitely not right.

It's definitely an amazing buffer...when it's working :o

Sounds like a short, or you've overloaded it. Whats the current on the outlet your plugging into?
