hey guys, ive been out of the game for awile but im starting to get back in. i reciently got a job as a detailer and have finally been able to introduce my boss to what real products actually can do, vs what he has been using on the customers cars.

anyway, im building him a shoping cart to help improve the busness. i just need to know how how the meguires mf disks will work on a flex 3401. i know that the flex is a hybrid buffer and i know that the meguires disks are for DA only, but will this combo work? has anyone used it?

90% of the cars we do are simple one steps, so i was thinking of doing flex 3401 with a 6.5" white pad, and opti poli seal as our one stepper but ive been hearing great things about the meguires system. would the flex 3401 w/ 6.25" finishing or sutting disk with poli-seal work well?

thanks guys

after alot more searching, been a slow day lol, it seems like their should be no problem, but id still like to hear some oppions.

Why not just buy him a G110v2 that the MF disc where made for? I know MGO has people from Meguiar's posting not to use the MF disc with a Flex 3401 and rotary polishers.

i've been reading that you could use the 3401 and meg mf but the results are not as good if you had used the g110v2 or griots. it wouldn't hurt him to much to have additional machines and products to choose from.

I think its mostly because the Flex is a forced rotational tool and not of a oscillating design that Megs made this MF pads for. Also for the thoughts that the Flex is very powerful and has probably the ability to rip the MF pads apart easily.

Pad designs with a low nap (i.e. Surbuf® R Series ® micro fingers and Meguiar’s DA Microfiber Cutting Discs) these types of pad compositions works more efficiently utilizing an orbital (centripetal) motion, rather than a rotational (centrifugal) motion.
