With it's specs at 480 RPMs and 9600 OPMs top operating speed for the 3401, I would say that running at speed 6 would get you around the 1000 RPMs on a rotary. Actually, I was using some Menz Power Finish (203) today mainly with my 3401 using a white 5.5" pad. I've been meaning to start breaking in my Flex 3403, so I stuck a 6.5" white pad on it and let'er rip on a few panes. The correction (not much was needed since it was my allroad), and the finish was better using the 3403. I mainly ran it at 1000 - 1200 RPMs, and was running my 3401 consistently on speed 6. So, with the smaller pad on the 3401 it was a little more aggressive and pushing the limits of what it can do correction-wise with a polish like 203 and a white pad. Hope this helps.
