Flex 3401 and Megs DA System?

Does anyone here have any direct experience using the Flex with the new Megs DA system?

The Megs system looks like it's right up my alley. But the Flex is the only polisher I have. I'm debating on picking up the Griots polisher but...obviously that's more money then just buying some new pads and polish.

Any thoughts or opinions would be much appreciated!

I have used the MF pads on my 3401 and did not find that I particularly liked them; I had issues with the pads shedding fibers and also leaving quite a bit more marring than I got using them with a traditional DA. Seems that the forced rotation just doesn't play well with these pads.

You can certainly pick up some of the 6" pads to try with your 3401 (your mileage may vary from mine, though I will say that I'm not the only one to report being underwhelmed by the Flex/MF combo) but you might be happier just picking up the 5" starter kit and a GG6.

Thats pretty much what ive been reading in my searches thus far.

Thanks for the reply!

use it on speed 4.5 and it should cut pretty good. My Meg's rep said the flex cuts better than the meg's pc but I can't confirm that yet.

I'm with you-I guess the Flex is too powerful for these pads. i like the cutting combo with it, but not the finishing aspect. You should keep the flex and finish with something more predictable, don't change polishers that's like giving up an M16 for a pistol.
