Apr 3, 2004 #1 T tguil New member I use both flat pads and concave pads on my PC. I cannot really tell the difference in performance between the two styles. I sort of use whatever is dry and handy. Of course, I do check for the abrassive level. How about some opinions on this topic? Tom

Apr 3, 2004 #2 tom p. Active member and don't have a clear favorite. Some prefer the flat while others will reach for the contoured. Keep in mind: Pressure = Force/Area Click to expand... In theory, if you need to "dig" into a surface or wish to apply more pressure, the contoured pad would be the better choice.
