My Mach is garaged, so I'm not too worried about mine. But what's the best way to protect the flat black spoiler? I xxxume (presume?) it's painted, but I've never tried to find out.

You mean protect as in a Wax or Sealant?

I wouldn't put anything on flat or satin black. Just keep it clean.

Flat would mean that it is "porous" and anything you would put on it to protect it would probably streak and show badly...

Maybe someone else has a better idea.:)

That's what I was thinking. Another Mach owner on another forum has to leave his outside, & was wondering to seal/wax it.

I know that there is some matte clear coat out there. We sprayed sherwin williams at the shop I used to work at. Never got around to asking the rep what to do correction and protection wise. I would say if it's porous or rattle canned it would be a no go, but if not( meaning like if it was cleared and smooth) and it was my car I would try a small little spot by hand on the bottom side. That's just me being curious. IMO experimenting on a customers car is a huge no no and very unprofessional. I think I will try and remember to call the rep this week and see what he says about it. You could also try and call a paint supply store and they will know much more about it. Logically speaking if you got a piece of dirt in it or a little sag how would you go about removing these inperfections?????

I'd just keep it washed and clean ... being that it is porus, you would never know what you seal in using a sealant of any kind ;)
