Flat Black Paint Correction

..... long story short i rattle canned my old honda civic, flat black, i put on two coats, with no clear coat... as i was spraying the car, over spray was getting on the rest of the car ( like a thick dust ), i could wipe it off with a rag but some remnants and spray can marks were still on the car,...... to correct this i was thinking of using my rotory with a yellow or orange cutting pad(with no compounds or polishes), to kind of scrub and clean the paint
i know this isnt a paint forum and no one here likes flat black, but some guidance or ideas would be nice......i can't use any waxes or cleaners, compounds polishes, they will sink into the paint and fad the flat black.

the paint i used is enamel not acrylic, if that matters..... i think the texture of the paint maybe to think for wet sanding (1500 or 2000 grit), maybe a 500 or 750 grit might work

I would try the 1500 first before going as low as the 500 or 750 :)
