FK425 Gallon Container Problem

How are you guys getting this stuff out of the container? This container is more square than standard gallon containers and for whatever reason I can't seem to get this stuff to pour out without it running down the side and wasting a bunch of product. Granted my work bench has a nice gloss to it and isn't collecting dust as much...

I'm using a funnel in my spray bottle. I don't have any gallon dispensers but I'm all ears on suggestions. Obviously I don't want to pump out 20+ ounces of this stuff into my spray bottle though!

I'm thinking about getting a hose and siphoning it? That's pretty sad if that's the best solution though.

So what do you got? Is there some standard cap replacement that is a dispenser I can pickup at home depot or lowes?

The container is brand new so I assume it'll be easier to pour once I use more out of the container...

TIA

:rofl I haven't poured any into my spray bottle for a long time because I'm trying to use up less desireable QD's, but 20 pumps from a dispensing pump really isn't the end of the world, and if you're careful doing it, you won't need the funnel in the spray bottle.

That's what I use. But I get my 3-5gallon carboys and spigots for free from my scientific ( VWR, Fisher, Lab Safety Supply) vendors for work.

I have also used a nifty funnel from Detailers Domain:

EZ-Fill Funnel

Hey, thanks for that, Eliot, I bought some screw-on funnels from US Plastics a few years ago that are a bit different (they even have a cutout in the side to fit the neck of a gallon jug, probably are just what the OP is looking for) but they don't seem to be made anymore.

Wait: Here it is...but no one seems to be selling them Delta Industry

I used it on a gallon of S&W I think, and it spilled all over. After that I wasn't confident that they even seal as a "cap". IIRC they were really cheap, too cheap perhaps to work. I dunno...maybe it was a Megs bottle.

Been using FK425 for some time now and all my gallon jugs are round and never had a problem pouring it into a spray bottle. Bought some about 3 weeks ago from PackShak and it's round. Wonder why a square or rectangular jug would cause it to spill? I know when it's full I have to pour it real slowly so no air gets sucked in and then gush out. Call FK and see what they say. You shouldn't have to buy an adapter to get the product out.

Just buy those and you will never have a problem with any leakage. You can even connect a hose to the nipple if you have a small bottle to put stuff into. These will also handle chemicals. I use them a lot fod NaOCl for months at a time. Some have been being used for years with no problem of breaking down.
