So I wanted something to not to replace 845 but to use in colder weather because 845 is such a pain in the ass to use in colder temps. Also I'm a big fan of Wolfgang sealant any way I'm not one to chase the shine and waste money I like to find something that works and stick with it. Seems like a few here really like it, and it's officially endorsed by Shawnf350. I will say it goes on easy and comes off just as easy, hard to say as far as pop or shine being overcast here in sunny south jersey. If it holds up I may just retire 845 we'll see how it hold up and plays out.

I'll pass the credit to Accumulator. He should be a distributor and sell it directly from his garage.

I am thinking of this also for wifes work van so I can get it thru the winter here in the Burgh...

FK1000P has been my winter wax for over 9 years now. Two coats in Oct. usually makes it till March. If the weather permits, I do try to top it with Optimum Spray Wax.

No liquid version however it's very easy to use.

Very true if you put in on THIN, THIN, THIN!! Takes me about an hour total--apply by hand about 30 minutes then allow it to haze then 30 to remove including the wheels and barrels. While I've never used a coating I've watched allot of videos of coating behavior with water and the FK1000 seems to act in the same way--water just jumps off the surface.

There's just something about applying a wax/sealant from a pot, it puts me into a zen state.

Tpr1634- Glad the FK1000P worked out for you, and it interests me that somebody with a black vehicle likes it (I kinda expect others to be picky about whether it looks right on certain colors).

Did you put it on the exterior plastic/trim/etc. or keep it *off* such surfaces?

I've tried FK1000P on my trim and it looked fine for a few days then it turned white, and it was hard to remove with neat APC and a firm toothbrush... PERL did a great job of hiding any FK1000P I missed.

Eh, that's what I worry about when I say the FK1000P-on-trim is in that "don't try this at home, kids!" category.

avoided trim like the plague. Looks as good on black as 845.

Accumulator, you suggest Collinite 476 on a dark car over the FK1000P ?
The Mazda 6 that my neighbor did was willing to let his FK1000P go cheap. Maybe I'll offer to trade it for him.
I'll be buying the 476 just to try on his car.
