There is no cure!
well due to my recent incident that requires a new bumper and paint. i will now be using fk1 2180 (i think thats then right name) to seal my paint while it cures.

got a recommendation from gregcavi to use it and went ahead and called fk1 and asked some question while iw as ordering. he indeed said it was safe on fresh paint and even went as far as to GAURANTEE it would not cause any ill effects along with some description as to how it all works.

dropepd of my car at the bodyshop today and guess what they were using on a fresh painted vehicle? fk1 2180.

i was sooo happy and relieved i was not gonna be some sort of test rat.

fk1 ROCKS!

but u cant put a price on quality.

imagine how much better a 15 dollar paste wax will look on a minimal orangepeel car.

yeah i know what you mean Quality is everything. but for a college student thats only 22 yrs 4,000 dollars is wayyyyyyyyyyyyy! out of my league. My friend got a 800$ paint jo that was atrocious. I would rather use the 4,000 to put a down on a new 2005 GT STANG. I guess I'll wait & give it time. :eat:

i was quoted 1000 bucks for a new rear bumper with parking sensors and paint and labor.

dame! so i can imgine that the whole car would be like -4,000

But how much of that $1,000 is parts? A rear bumper cover isn't exactly cheap, and I'm certain the electronic sensors are a bit pricey. Besides, it wouldn't cost you anything to go & get an estimate.

600. they can still use the sensors in my current bumper.

and the estimate was approximately 1198.00

he gauranteed absolutely no orange peel.

he says that his process would be

base coat 3x's

wetsand-buff

clearcoat 3x's

wetsand -buff
