Got my FK#425 and have two questions for users of this product.

1. Is it safe to get on rubber molding(around windows)?

2. Will this remove any wax or sealants I currently have on the cars paint? I know its a crazy question but the product has a slight/very small chemical smell. Would rather do my research now then find out the hard way.

Have a safe Labor Day weekend everyone.

Well, "not in most cases", but I wouldn't go as far as a simple "NO".

I had it do a solvent-action number on fresh Collinite 476S that really messed me up (hey, I'll just do a quick spritz of FK425 now that I'm all done...oops! ). This was on a crappy-paint car with lots of pitting and micro-fissures so I can imagine residual wax being to blame, but still...I *never* want to go through that again so I'm a little careful to use FK425 on waxes *after* they've had a chance to set up for a while...like after the next wash.

Hmmmm, odd.

Accumulator, you always seem to be the exception to the rule :rofl

Ive never had that happen to me, but I havent used 476 either. And at the same time, Ive seen a lot of threads (possibly from you accumulator :D) about psuedo holograms with topping 476.

So, with that said, I think youll be fine 99% of the time. If you were to do any actual removing it would probably be from the mechanical action of the mf and not the actual chemical.

Yeah, and nobody was more surprised than I myself! I'd used FK425 on 476S lots of times with no problems right up until then :nixweiss

I'd be leery of using it on fresh Souveran too.

Yeah, it's not a LSP-unfriendly QD or anything like that. Whereas some other QDs will finish off an almost-dead LSP, FK425 isn't like that.
