Fixing what's shiny and should be dull...

Ok, so, hypothetically speaking, let's say you were working on one of those new Chargers that has the black stickers on the hood and rear fenders, that are a sort of dull matte black and you inadvertently rubbed a little too firmly when washing and made a slightly shiny spot in this very fragile (apparently) dull black... :wall

Can it be fixed? Expensive to replace?

Just out of curiosity, of course :sadwavey:

I've been wondering about that too. Good old Barry White of Barry's Speed Shop puts those damn things on all of his "SMC" Frankenstein creations. Yeah sure Barry, you never think about the poor schmucks that have to detail these afterwards. How does one make it flat looking again?

I'm going to give it a shot with 50/50 alcohol wipedown. That's apparently recommended by the manufacturer... Hoping I didn't remove texture and instead just built up the sealant I was applying in that spot.
