Fixing the work of others

This client came to me in tears after another detailer, I use that term loosely, did this washing his car! I was at a loss when I saw the car! Corrected with m100 on a micro cut pad, polished with m205 on yellow Rupes pad, both on the Rupes 15 and Kamakaze plate. Finished with Meguiars ultimate wax.

Wow - that "detailer" should be named, almost - it would almost be a community service announcement!

Congrats on a job well done, however. The turnaround is remarkable! I love to see great work like this.

Nothing is more satisfying than being able to repair other people's poor work .. good job :bigups

I love Jet Black cars !!!!
Incredible turn around from the Drunk Clown with a Dirty-Shop-Rag-Wash to near perfection !
Super work, Mike !

My mother tells a story about washing grandpa's car when she was a child. He was in the Marines, so wasn't home much. Well, he was home and wanted to surprise him with a clean car. So, she washed it. With Comet. She couldn't for the life of her understand why daddy was so upset!

Hacks like that are what give *good* shade tree detailers (like me) a bad name. They "talk" a good game like they know what they're doing, but in the end, over charge and do more damage than good.
