Got the OK to wax my car from the body shop...although i tried my best, it was bird bombed a few times...i got most of them off within an hour...but one sat for 3 days while getting service done...needless to say...it did bad things to the paint. and it did rain on it the one night i left it out of the garage... i used clay to try and level the bird poop spots...and really worked some #9 into them...they are less visible, but i think a wetsanding is needed to get them out...then i worked the #9 gently with a pc on the whole car to get rid of some water spots. All in all im happy with how everything came out...pics to follow...the lighting is horrible...im in a garage with one light...daylight pics will come after i recoat the nxt(if i missed any spots) and top with collinite(will that be bad?)...tell me what you think... :bigups or :nono

you should not wax for at least a month after a repaint, ask the painter how long you should wait

You can apply polishes and glazes, however

 Damn, no orange peel to speak of. Man, they did a lovely job from what little could be seen. Looks awesome! 2nd layer the nxt even if it's a few days afterwards: very noticeable difference. Let it sit far beyond the recommended 15 min and you'll be able to remove it with even more ease and you'll see a very noticeable increase in shine and reflections.

My body shop told me to wax it when I got it home. He said you need protectant on it. I did and it looks great still.

there really is no orange peel....the body shop i took it to does showcar finishes...there are a few specks of dust in it. but he said he will take care of them...and i usually let nxt sit for an hour....no streaks and it comes off easy....one more coat today and tomorrow i will top it with collinite...

IMHO Collinite will degrade the look you're getting from the NXT. Collinite is super durable but isn't great looking.

Looks good!

will it degrade it to the point any normal person will notice? or will an autopian only notice :xyxthumbs i need more protection than nxt will give...and im using fleetwax, i hear its the same as their super double coat. ill let you all know how long it takes and i will add pics.

finished....two coats of NXT topped with collinite fleetwax, whoever said collinite is hard to work with must be kidding. I used a 4 inch random orbital cordless buffer(i only use it to apply wax) to put a real thin coat down. As i went to take it off i expected the worst(smears and a real work out to get it off). To my surprise it was not much more "resistant" than NXT to get off. And it left zero residue. I did let one small spot turn white, dont let that happen...thats when you will never get it off. I "rewetted" that spot by going over it with some more collinite, and it came off like normal. The pics speak for themselves...*note, these are not retouched in any way, i used flash in one, thats where the slight greyness comes in, and i had nowhere to rest my arms, so some are a little blurry, believe me, the reflection is crystal clear...and deep...

I just wanted to say...collinite is awesome! it rained in chicago last night...and the next morning the car was dry...there was a nasty film covering it...acid rain... ...so i took it to a manual car wash because i didnt feel like doing it at home...and i wanted to see if it would just rinse off...well...i was getting scared when i sprayed it with soap, seemed like there was no wax...and the water spots looked permanent. I busted out my MF(always have one in the trunk) and soaped up the car good, wiped it all down and rinsed :D the collinite was hiding under the film from the rain!!! it was now beading and sheeting like crazy....props to collinite...you saved my new paint from acid rain!!

One or Two of COLLINATE"S products are really hard to work with this is not opinion its a fact. You probly used the liquid or the 476 double coat
