First time with ONR, I'm in love!

I did a restocking order last week, and among the many items I ordered was Optimum's No Rinse Wash. After reading many positive things about it here on Autopia, I thought I'd give it a try. Boy is this stuff AMAZING!

Today was the perfect day to try it, too (it was raining pretty hard here in Los Angeles).

I washed my mothers's 2010 Mercedes E350. It was really dirty, and hasn't been washed since the last rain storm we had. I think it was about a month ago.

ONR took car of business. It got all the grime and bird droppings off with ease. It did not mar up the paint at all. It also ate up the brake dust from the wheels like nothing!

Yep, the new formula is proving to be terrific! I picked up a small size this time, but will be a gallon order next time.

I didn't know they reformulated ONR until I got it. It had a sticker that said "new formula." Do you know what they changed?

It has more slickness and gives the paint more gloss. New scent too.

Scott, It was your Youtube video of the ONR that made me buy it. Thanks :bigups

:lol Actually, I made the video because it was easier to show people who asked how to use it than to try and explain it!

I also gave the new formula a try last weekend and it's much better than the old one. Better lubrification, beads like crazy so easier to wipe off, slick finish.

I now regret buying 4x4L of the old formula on BOGO lol.

I have a gallon on the way right now...should be here tomorrow and I can't wait to try it out on the G35 I have lined up for this weekend.

dang, i'm hesitant in trying it.

but that looks like it works w/o any issues.

I was too. Don't be. The hose has it's place still, but for anything "normal" this is the only way I wash now.

I may be the only one but I just used it this weekend with distilled water. I was expecting slickness but didnt really notice any. Im using the new formula as well.

I just tried it today for the first time myself... Absolutely, unequivocally, the BEST wash I've ever used... EVER. Add in that I can do a full wash in direct sun, and with only 2-3 gallons of water? PERFECT. I'm sure the water dept. isn't going to be thrilled with my decision to switch... 15-20 gallons, down to 3. :D

I used it as clay lubricant/quick detailer too... equally impressive.

I don't know why I waited so long?!

I've never used ONR before, why do you have a RINSE bucket? I thought the whole point of Optimum NO RINSE was precisely that. No rinse:p. Is one really necessary?

EDIT : Wow, I just realized what an idiot I am, I apologize for my lack of intelligence

No rinse refers to using a hose to rinse the car. If my car is particularly dirty, I'll add the second bucket to rinse the wash mitt. Otherwise I do it single bucket. I tend to use more wash water than these demos though. I do 4 gallons of wash water which tends to keep things tidy.

That stuff looks great:) Dumb question maybe, but how does it work? I mean, we now have dry weather here, lets say the car isn't washed for two weeks and with the dry weather and pollen season is covered in a "nice" layer of dust and pollen. Can you use ONR to wash the car without scratching the paint?

Have you SEEN the pollen in the southeast this year? I am washing my car twice a week with nary a problem. I haven't used my hose this year.
