First Time with my Griot's Polsher!

This weekend I removed the body moldings from my truck and tried to get it polished. I was running out of weekend, so I only got the Doors, LF fender and the Hood polished and waxed. This was my first time using a polisher and while it may not be Autopian, I am pretty happy with what I came out with.

Also I did a side by side with Meg's Ultimate Compound and Polish, along side Opy Spray Compound and Polish. Meg's came out on top with me: Less messy (the spray bottles were a PIA), wipes away easier, works as well or better, smells better, Cheaper, OTC, and the Meg's pads cleaned up way better and easier.

I had to wash in the sun.

Here's some pictures:

Molding removal: (20# Trilene BigGame, 3M Eraser Wheel, 3M Adhesive Remover)

(I don't really like the NXT Tire Shine but it is Quik and Easy. With 9 hrs in on the paint, I kinda skimped on the rest.)

Only 5 More giant body panels and bumpers and it will be done.

I like it. This is the first time I have done any polishing escept for small areas by hand, and the GG6 works well. I love the results. With a bad back and a rough Mtn Bike ride also this weekend, I am sore today.

It is a BackFlip G2. I like it. Really water tight, pretty secure. With a tailgate lock you would need a crowbar to get into it. Going on a camping/bike trip in a couple weeks. I'm building a rack that mounts in the stake holes and will carry 4 bikes above the cover. That will be the first real test as far as keeping gear dry and such.

Im looking to get one for my f250, just need to get some money first.

Truck came out nice, going to take a lot of work to maintain that black.

2 things i don't like about it: You have to use bungees to drive with it folded up and when it is laid all the way open it lays against the back glass. Have to put a towel or something in between.

Thanks, The black is a PIA, but it is easier without the moldings and stuff.
