I have very limited experience detailing, mostly just mine and the wifes vehicles. I had been using Megs 105/205, various lake country pads etc but all that stuff was really old / expired. I'm about to be selling my car so I figured a good 1 step and wax to help it look a little better might help it sell. I ordered HD polish, 2 HD green pads and 1 HD black pad all 5.5 inch. I'd be using my 6 year old regular PC7424. I had a free sample of Liquid Sovereign so I used that after the polish. HD was easy to use for sure, much easier to wipe off than 105/205 ever was. My only real complaint, the bottle says "dust free" , but it was not. Now could it have been my fault or my equipments fault and not HD? Sure, I have no idea. All I know I was really looking forward to having no dusting but I was still wiping it off after every section. Anyway enough about that, all in all im really pleased with the way the polish worked in my amateur hands.

Here's some before shots:

Wow! I've used POLISH several times but only as a finishing polish. I never thought POLISH could cut so well!

Alfisti--there is a thread down in I think Car Detailing from someone who used HD Polish with a MF and had excellent cut and finish.

OP--you may have used too much product if you had dusting--I don't prime the pad and use 4 pea sized drops for the first section and then just 2 or 3 pea sized drops for each additional section and haven't experienced any dusting. BTW car looks great.

No dusting is really a marketing thing. It either dusts a bit or gums up the pad, the spent product has to go somewhere. But yeah, its amazing how well it cuts and finishes out so well.

I get NO dusting. And that includes slack pad cleaning. The OP probably used way too much polish. User error can lead to some dusting but not the polishes fault.

That's more than likely what it is, as I said, could easily be my fault and not the polish. I had read several threads about the cut potential with HD polish and still finishing out well, it's exactly what I was looking for since I didn't want to do multiple compounding / polishing steps.
