First Time Coating

I just picked up PA Viking Coat on the sister site. I`m going to prep with Esclate first. I have a couple of questions:
(1) any recs on coating a white car? Will it be harder to see high spots?
(2) I have a couple of spots on the bumper where the paint is chipped. Do I have to repair those first? If so, any recs i.e. Dr. Colorchip..ease of use?
(3)Pad recs ( I have both 7424XP and Flex)
(4) I have some light scratches and was going to polish prior to using Esclate. Any idea how much cut the Esclate has i.e. comparable products like WG Total Swirl Remover or Menz IP? Anyone here used the PA polish?

thanks

IMHO

Fix chips a week or so before
Don`t sweat high spots with pa Viking coat, it goes on like a wax
imho spot polish deeper stuf, then escalate with black lc pad on flex
Then apply coat 1 by red pad/flex
2nd coat by hand.

Just my .02

Enjoy and please take pics

^^^ Ron has it right. Esclate says it`s cut is pad dependent but is mainly a cleaner. If anything, use it like a jeweling polish with the black pad. There is no chance of high spots as it is basically just like applying a wax. I second thw pics, Viking Coat is some good looking stuff. My grandfather is still amazed at how good his car looks and stays clean. FWIW, I used a black LC pad to apply the coating also.
