So this is a long first post... But let me introduce myself as Tyler.
I have owned my 1996 Olds Aurora since October of 2006 with 126k on the clock... I haven't touched it expect washes this winter with the pressure washer at local car wash to keep the salt off, But I know the owner before me kept it in impeccable shape.
I love spending time on keeping everything looking close to new. I have been partial to Menguiars products in the past. I currently have in my bin the Gold Class wax & leather cleaner/conditioner(The leather currently has NO rips/tears, and barely any stress marks). I have 1/2 bottle of Mothers Chrome Polish.... some off-brand car wash soap, and I use whatever tire dressing is on sale. I'd love to hear opinions on these and advice for maybe some better products... I'd like to try my hand with a clay bar.
The car has almost 133k, and I plan on keeping it much longer. It lived in Oklahoma up until 2004, and has only seen it's 3rd MN winter this year. As far as the paint condition, there are some swirls here and there(the previous owner mentioned something about that he had used a rotary here and their and he loved it...) But other than that It's in pretty good shape(aside from the road rash from stones typical of a 133k car)
It wasn't exactly washed in this pictures, but they were taken late October with the phone cam. The wheels(16") in them had a rough time with the salt this winter, and are getting replaced with the wheels on the bottom picture sometime by mid-may(They are 17" off a 2001 Aurora, 1/2 the wheel is polished in the corners the other half isn't). I will use the 16's again next winter most likely.
Edit: More recent photo... Taken 4/3... Not washed recently... :-(
