Figured the best way to introduce my self would be with some pictures of my car, I am new to autopia, but not new to detaling, I have been doing it since I was 14. Anyway here is my car, so far it has been clayed and covered with 2 coats of nxt, these pics are after a quick wash with WAD. I have only had the GLI for 3 weeks, so it has not seen a complete detail yet. Thanks for looking (sorry I don't have that great of a camera)

Looks great, there's nothing wrong with your camera!

Some fun things to try on that color red is Clearkote RMG, Trade Secret Wax, or Natty's Blue. They will give some extra wetness that will have traffic stopping and staring at your ride....

:welcome to Autopia. Nice ride looks good, I have an 03 black VR6 GLI (Canadian version) with out the ground effects :( .

:welcome

car looks great. i agree with craigster, try one of those products for greater wetness. or even better, try the clearkote RMG with either the trade secret or natty's blue wax. :woot:

and very nice pictures, i really like the last one. too bad there's that other car in the back though.

Thanks for the positive comments :wavey Natty's Blue is most likley gonna be the next wax i buy, I am a big fan of S100 but I am out of it so i figured I will order Natty's Blue next time, even though I have a almost full Jar of nxt paste. Besides the s100 I almost never use up a wax or selant before i get the itch to try something new, once agian thanks

sorry for noob question but what is RMG? would that work for removing light swirls, or should i use something like ssr2 or one of the optimum products? thanks for the advice, i would like to make the finish 100% swril free (i do have pc)

Dave

You should use Vanilla Moose Glaze to remove light swirls with a green pad , then I would use it again with the blue pad at slower speed . RMG is red moose machine glaze , it doesn't remove swirls , but the VMG does and does it well !

They are both made by ClearKote .

Finish with the RMG with your finishing pad for awesome depth and wetness over the VMG , then wax
