I finaly got aproval form the budget committe for a PC 7336sp. Now it is time to use it. My first project car is the wifes 96 ES300. The paint is in pretty good shape. I have been using AIO topped with SG for the last year. It is a black car with some swirl marks and water spots that did not come off with clay. I purchased a LC pad kit along with some 3M perfect it swirl remover and some Medallion premium paint cleaner. I of couse plan to use the AIO and SG that I already have. I need some advice on what to use first and what ever advice you can give me. I was thinking of starting out with the 3M and the yellow pad, but maybe that is too agressive. I cann't wait for a good night to get started.

I used 83/80/nxt I believe. Try a vinegar bath for the waterspots.

The 3M may not be enough. Use a polishing white pad & see what happens for the swirls.

I previously owned a 1993 ES 300 and recently detailed my neighbors 98 ES 300. Both were single stage black and both needed some heavy swirl removal. You may want to opt for a more aggressive cutting pad with your PC depending on the extend of the swirls/wash scratches.

I had to thoroughly work DACP with a yellow cutting pad on the finish of this car to get her back. This car was done with a rotary, and I really had to work the product.

BTW. I used Meg's SFP with the rotary followed by # 9 with the PC to get this paint where i wanted it to be.

The horizontal scratch on this trunk required a step-up to Meg's Power Cleaner Compound and a wool pad...

Sorry about the lack of direct sunlight in after pics. I started detailing this car about 9:00 AM and finished late that afternoon.

Good Luck with the ES 300 !!! Post some pics !!!:)

Thanks guys, now that is what I am talking about! Great pics. Her paint is not that bad. The previous owner was into detailing, so the paint dammage is minimal. I will try to post some pics.
