Keep 'er Clean
So I've been here at DC for about four months now, absorbing the great info and enjoying the members' work. Thank you for sharing.

After having my car repainted (again) I finally got a digital camera for some pics.

This is my '94 Acura Integra LS fresh from paint, after a wash with Megs GC:

Notice how it doesn't look very deep, or glossy or wet. It doesn't look ALIVE. So I'm on a mission to achieve this look.

This shot shows off the gold pearl:

This pic shows some of the orange peel:

One thing I've learned here is that the art of detailing starts with a great CANVAS, and after the first repaint I knew that WETSANDING would give me that LOOK that we all strive for.

So I educated myself on wetsanding and rotary use and went to town.

My process:

1) Wetsand using 2000 Meguiar's Unigrit Sandpaper
2) Compound with #84 Compound Power Cleaner via Dewalt 849 and Megs burgandy pad
3) Polish with #83 DACP and a Megs burgandy pad
4) Remove hazing and swirls from DACP with #9 Swirl Remover and a Propel green pad
5) Finish with #80 Speed Glaze and a Propel Blue via PC (This final polishing did the trick. I was amazed with the look it produced. Now I know why so many here like it)

It took me a total of 18-20 hours to do, with some help.
Here are the results:

Much wetter in my opinion:

If you have any questions on my process/products let me know.
I'm glad to help those that have helped me...
