New color for 2008, my dad just picked it up and I've got to say I like it a lot more in person than I thought I would. The paint has a lot of flake and some really cool characteristics in different light... definitely a 'must see in person' kind of paint. Only snapped a few quick pics, I'll be detailing it next weekend to get it started off right. He just brought it by to have me remove the GM badges from the rear quarter panels.

He special ordered the Ron Fellows ZO6 style spoiler and the wheels which he had chromed before the car showed up. Windows were tinted today along with a borla catback installed.

Chevy really did a nice job of refining these, the interior from his 06 to this one is improved IMO, nice carbon fiber pieces and they worked out some of the parts that felt 'cheap' in the last one. The LS3 sounds nice and healthy. :woohoo:

I was never fond of that color on the C5, but maybe once I see it in person on the C6 it will start to grow on me. Your dads looks pretty nice.

I'm waiting for GM to come back out with the Spiral Gray Metallic on the C6, I think that will look killer.

Wow, I never seen a Corvette with that color before. That first picture looks really nice. I like it. Nice and refreshing to see a new color on a Corvette: I always see black, yellow, red, and sometimes white.

Holy sh*t! That color makes my want to cry it is so SWEET!!!!

1Sweet C6

Let me know how that LS3 runs. 430hp it's going to be fun.

When I saw the title of the post I read ZR1 instead of Z51. I was on a rampage because the ZR1 isn't release just yet. But nonetheless very pretty car. I love that spoiler too.

I don't believe this color was offered on the C5... maybe something similar... as far as I know Jetstream blue metallic is new for 2008.

I just went to Funfest/Vette Fest in Effingham, Ill over the past weekend and there was a dealer there that rolled in driving a Z06 in that blue color. I dont know to much about that color besides that to see the Z06 in that color on the road already is suppose to be VERY rare.

Beautiful car btw!! :-)

Very rare indeed, and with the UAW strike underway even more rare, there was already a constraint on the 2008 vettes as it was, the color is a special order, and now that the strike is underway it might be a while before more of them hit the street... I had found the production numbers for the color thus far on one of the vette forums, but I can't find the link. I'm curious to see how few of them there are.

Pops took delivery at Richard Hibbard Chevy, which is one of the most prolific vette dealers in the US, and it was their first regular C6 one in that color so far, they had a Z06 in jetstream the day before... that should say something.

GM is calling it a different name, but it is very very similar to the Nassua Blue in the late 90's model C5.

Yep, Nassau Blue is pretty close to Jetstream Blue, at least in the bright sun. But on cloudy days, the Jetstream Blue takes on a completely different persona, and you can see a lot more green in it, it's almost like a flip flop paint job then.

Here is a picture of a Nassau Blue C5:

I don't think the C6 would look good in any sort of darker gray color. In Photoshop I played around with some different colors on the C6, and did one in a gun metal gray, just a bit darker than spiral gray and it doesn't look good on the C6:

Agreed... grey just isn't a 'vette color' IMO... machine silver isn't bad if you're into that family of colors. Personally I'm a fan of red or black, but thats just me.... I have to admit the more I see JSB the more I like it.
