First click and brag ('01 Cherokee)

As the title states this is my first (of hopefully many) click and brags. Just a quick history- my dad is a huge car nut and was the one that pretty much got me hooked back in the day. I finished school last year and settled into a job and was fortunate enough to find this site in the fall. I mentioned something to him around Thanksgiving about wanting to get back into detailing as a hobby and for Christmas I found myself with a new Makita rotary... the rest, as they say, is history.

It took 8 hours on Saturday and another 4 on Sunday to finish; at this point I'm not too worried about the time as the speed will come. I didn't get a ton of pics because I only had the camera on Sunday and had take off in a hurry for an open house (thus no complete outside pics).

Process:

P21s gel on the wheels

Megs APC 4:1 in the wells and on the rocker panels

Megs SD 7:1 in the engine bay

Powerwashed the exterior at coin-op (lots of salt and gravel caked on)

ONR 2 bucket method w/grit guard (grout sponge and Vroom yellow)

Clayed with Mothers and Clay magic Red (for the nasty spots)

(took before pics)

SIP orange CCS 1500 x2

106ff white CCS 1500

One rear quarter had been repainted because I was backed into and it required UF blue CCS @1200 to finish out perfectly

PPG DX440 wipedown

(took after pics)

DG105

Armor All Extreme Shine on the tires

Zymol Seal on the wheels

Stoners more shine in the wells

I have learned a lot and look forward to contributing in the future- thanks for the help everybody.

Thanks a alot. I still consider myself a relative beginner with the rotary since it's been so long but I am definitely looking forward to improving.

Not yet- I had to run in a hurry for an open house (I can't wait to get out of this loft and get my own garage!!). This weekend I plan on getting some good pics. Too bad it is already dirty as we got a nice little snow and ice storm Mon/Tuesday.

Josh- Thanks for the compliments. I have used a rotary before (B&D); mind you this was in a limited capacity and with only a handful of products. I have a feeling that after a few vehicles I’ll become comfortable again.
