Finishing with the Flex/DA

What is the procedure that you guys have found to produce the best finish with the Flex and does it differ with the PC ? I am not talking about the correcting process but the finishing process. During your finishing passes do you tend to use more/less pressure, faster/slower speed, faster/slower arm movement or more/less product ? I would like to get some replies on the Flex and the PC if it differs with you.

Slower always helps but finishing in general with anything other than a rotary is really the same. It's all your pad and polish combo, the only really factor is speed and light enough pressure to keep it rotating. However being that the flex is forced you don't have that problem, my recommendation on pressure would just be to keep it evenly planted at all times.

With a ROB (Porter Cable) you want to maintain pressure, but reduce speed to get the ideal pattern on the paint for minimal scratching.

With the FLEX, since the pattern is fixed, you will get best results using a rotary like approach. Reduce pressure and speed.
