I just received my latest order from FK and was surprised there were no free samples in the box. I have always looked forward to getting these and several of the free samples resulted in me buying them with my next order. I don't think I would have switched from AIO to 215 if not for the little sample bottle I received.

I wonder if this was an oversight or a change in how orders are being shipped.

That's too bad. I have so many samples from them. To me it was like a free prize in a cereal box! I guess the new management will have no freebies anymore.
 
I just got my order a couple of weeks ago with a sample, but I made a point of saying I wanted one and provided a list of products in order of priority that I'd like to try out. I wound up with #20 wood polish for my wife to try out on the furniture. Nice stuff but the wood soaks it up like a sponge. The little sample didn't go all that far, guess I'll have to include some in my next order.

Do they ever respond to your emails? They certainly don't respond to mine.



A simple enquiry regarding shipping of a good many of their products to the UK and they don't even bother to respond.



Needless to say, with customer service like that, I will not be using them.

Floyd Meguiar passed away last year and according to reports on another forum the company was sold to an outfit called Allbrite.



While they appear to have done away with the 10% Autopia discount, you should still be able to get a free sample if you just request something.

I don't know how big their sales department is, but I know most of their sales volume is in much larger quantities, like drums and such. Not that that's an excuse, but I know their main focus isn't consumer-level retail sales of small bottles. I've had very spotty results trying to contact them myself. That's one reason I wish their forum was still online, if they didn't answer directly at least you could usually get a basic answer from someone else.



I know at least one or two places are starting to carry FK1 in the UK. Here's one in Ireland, you can search more to see if you can find others.

Ah I've spoken to Daragh of smartcarcare before but he only stocks about 5 FK products.



I have also spoken to a few people in the UK that have looked to start becoming a distributor for FK in the UK but have been messed around (poor comms from FK and other issues).



I have to say it is disappointing, I wanted to try 425 and the decontamination kit in particular.

new management does not recognize the autopia discount, no free samples (unless you specially request). Their low shipping costs is a plus. I liked some of their products, but I have moved on to try other products/vendors.
 
I just got a gallon of 425 two weeks ago and it came with a sample of 336NG light micro cut compound. I think it's smart of them to include samples of different products, as I'm more apt to buy their products if I try them and like them. I got pink wax last time I ordered.

That sucks if they aren't going to send samples anymore, I might not be as tempted to buy from them.

As much as I like FK1, I've heard many times that Autoint's ABC decomtam is superior. I am surprised smartcar isn't carrying 425, it seems to be one of their most popular products.

I bet you haven't heard that from FK1! :D



They will tell you that theirs is superior.
 
I'm a little skeptical of both products. Any acidic product that can remove imbedded particles must remove some clearcoat at the same time.
 
I ordered a gallon of 425 a month or two back, and I didn't get any samples. Can't complain though, 425 is about the most perfect QD I've found.
