Guys, at the moment, I'm using Meguiar's M16. Used to NXT Paste Wax, but I wanted to go the carnauba route, hence the purchase of the M16!
I'm thinking about Finish Kare FK 2180 and the FK 1000P. I believe both are sealants ( not waxes ), but I believe that the FK 1000P have a lot of carnauba content inside it ( how much actually, I do not know. Can anyone else have a say, or confirm on this matter? ).
My thinking is, after polishing with Optimum Polish / Compound, I want to apply the FK 2180 1st, and then apply FK 1000P afterwards.
Is this a good idea, or is it better for me to eliminate FK 2180? What attracts me to FK 2180 is that it is claimed to be anti - static ( I hate seeing the NXT Paste Wax on my car, or to the car's I've done, attracting dust! ), is this true?
And what attracts me to FK 1000P is that it is claimed to be super - tough, as it was originally designed for boat use! Now, how long does FK 1000P holds, and does it retains water sports etc? Malaysia is a high humudity country, with extremely heavy rains in the morning, and hot sun in the evening, or vice versa, in one day!
NXT Paste Wax only lasts about 4 weeks, sometimes only up to 3 weeks, and this is with weekly washing and application of NXT Spray Wax after each wash! The current M16 I have in hand is told to last a bit longer, roughly 6 weeks to 8 weeks max. What about FK 1000P? Can it outlast these two, but still shine, gives fepth, etc to the paintwork at the same time?
FK 2180 and FK 1000P users please chime in!
