Finish Kare 2180??????

2180 would be perfect between FK1000P applications since it has chemical cleaners in it and add some protection.

Interesting response I recieved from Finish Kare---- "I would prefer that you put 2180 first and then layer it with BWM101, new code for 1000P. Because 2180 has more bonding polymers and they would adhere to car surface better than on top of the wax layer. This way you will get longer protection."

Well..I think that'd be only if you want to clean off some of the existing FK1000P/BWM101, right? Wouldn't the FK218 remove at least some of the existing FK1000P?

Old bump.. Just tried my 2180 on a motorcycle and it shined like a diamond. It was NOT a pleasure to use - very old school. Removal was.. "waxy". But it looked great. It even had decent depth. It`s no WGDGPS, but the price is so right.

QWaxAddict- Ah, glad it turned out so well for you! Guess it`s no big surprise that it`s all Old School, a lot of their products date back quite a while now.

Heh heh, seeing this thread...I still just automatically type "FK1000P" instead of thinking "BWM101".

I also think 2180 is crap !! I would not use it between coats of 1000p . I think doing that is an extra step not needed.

What is "BWM101" ???

the new code for FK1000p. Following Menzerna, they gotta change designations in order to... um... yeah.

2180 ain`t crap, but it is behind the times a bit.

The late Floyd Meguiar had this thing for "product number" type designations (e.g., FK1000Paste). Now that he`s been gone for a while I guess they`re coming around to Product Names (e.g., BigWhiteMarine101).
