Finally.......success thanks to 'volvo4me'!

I made the 2.5 hour jaunt to 'volvo4me's home for their executive detail. Ofcourse I was a bit sceptical since my black pearl Prelude was absolutely riddled with bugs and bug stains and horrific swirl marks under all that. Fast forward about 7-8 hours and my car looks BETTER than the day I picked it up. This afternoon with the sun reflecting off my car, I dare anyone to find a single swirl ont he car!!! Absolutely beautiful. Here is what they did...

Dawn wash

Clay the car

3M Perfect It 2

3M SMR for dark cars

PPCL

Klasse SG

Meguiars carnuba wax

It was exhaustive work (for them anyway..lol), but the results are a true testament to what dedicated autotopians can do. The only bad thing is that its so perfect now, I can see some of the acid rain residue from where I first bought the car new. Yikes!

Thanks again guys!!!! I'll be back in about a month for another detail!

Hey ZoominLude!

Thanks for the nice post!! Although we're sore & tired today, we are still really pleased at how the car turned out!! It was worth every minute!! I just wish we had had our digital camera to take pics -- oh well, I'm going to try to get the ones I took developed this week.

Glad to hear you made it home safely, too! :)

See you next month!!

As for the car, to be honest, I'm not sure what a fair price is. It is a 5spd with cloth interior (black) and a black/blue pearl exterior. I think the mileage is around 24K, with 90% of those being highway miles. No accidents or paint work at all. I'm thinking I'm gonna look for around $19K on it. Not sure.

Trent and Shannon, yeah I look forward to bringing whatever car I own in a month back for a full detail. I'm actually not 'scared' to buy a dark color anymore for fear that it will always look bad. It rained all day here....so no pics for now.
