Hi there.

Been lurking for a while, there's so much to learn.

I finally decided it's time for a PC RO. I hate driving my poor car around, looking all swirly. This is what it must feel like to be the parent of "the smelly kid in class," but with a car. It's horrible!

I even have a test guinea pig to practice on before going at my little one, there's a red 97 Geo Metro for sale in my neighborhood. Poor thing hasn't had a bath in months. I figure, even if it comes out a little swirly, it's still an improvement!

Hopefully I'll have some beautiful pictures of my 97 328i to post up soon.
 
Welcome to DC and congrats on your purchase! You shouldn't need much practice with a PC. It is very easy to learn and has almost no learning curve. Make sure you post pics of the Bimmer when you get her done.
 
I am really counting on the PC being as fool-proof as everyone says. I am just a little nervous because some of the swirls are my fault! :boohoo :boohoo :( :(

I already have a bunch of Zaino products. None of them seem to do much for swirls though. Back to the message boards to find a good swirl-removing, PC-friendly polish...
 
You might want to check out the SSR line from Poorboy's. They seem to be a favorite here.

:dcrules Welcome. As for your issues with swirls I too would also recommend Poorboy's ssr line. Start with the least abrasive and if that doesnt work , go up one. Good luck in your quest for a swirl free finish.
