$5 Disposable cameras just don't cut it anymore.

On the Stratus:

Clay

DACP with Porter Cable (yellow pad)

Blackfire Polish

Blackfire sealant

I just noticed those pictures were taken at my grandfather's house after he passed away. :(

1997 Accord -- although you can't tell

Clay

DACP with white pad

Blackfire sealant

I'm kind of embarassed by these photos because everybody else has $400 digital cameras but oh well, it will have to do for now.

Rather than being embarassed - be proud of the excellent work you have done :)

You had me for a second with the Honda pic. It almost looks like an action shot of the Accord in some thick Virginia mud.

If other people with digital cameras are like me, they will just post the good pictures, and you get to see the picture immediately to see if you should try again.

I guess that is the only advantage.

The pictures look fine, especially the first one. It looks like you take good care of your vehicles.

Scottwax uses a film-type camera. [how technical, kev!]......so I guess with enough practice you can be good at anything.

Digital cameras are great too, though.

I'm at 427 pictures on the digital camera I use and it cost $300, so that turns out to be about $.70/picture. Isn't it great?

Nice work on both cars.

Just a couple photography things.

Rule of Thirds for photography.

For example a roll of thirty six:

1/3 you will throw away

1/3 you will keep but not show. Could show with editting.

1/3 you will be keepers (9-12).

Many photgraphers use bracketing, to ensure a good shot. This is adjusting F-stop, shutter speed, focal point and exposure.

Thank you for using a Kodak Disposable. So maybe no braketing, but not every shot is going to be perfect. Even Ansel had his prints dotted and spotted (airbrushed). I only wish I took pictures as good as the masters.

The cars look good and remember this site is about detailing not photography, so who cares what kind of camera you use. :)

Great call Thumper, its all about the autopian shine, photography skills ( and everything else ) comes a distant second.

The pics are great, stop your stressing... :xyxthumbs
